Position Summary

Serve JAARS by supporting the President and the Senior Leadership Team in functioning as a high-performing executive team.

Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the President of JAARS

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not currently have any supervisory responsibilities, though in the future an executive assistant or other support staff may be added to the management responsibility.

Travel Responsibilities: Limited travel

Position Responsibilities

Work closely with the President to understand and assist with the implementation of JAARS' vision and mission and help translate the high level goals to coordinated implementation at the director level and below. Support the President in developing and managing the agenda, meeting frequency, minutes, action items, and summary reporting for the SLT team meetings, both tactical and strategic throughout the year. Manage the annual calendar of SLT activities, such as strategic planning, budgeting, periodic reporting, and review cycles to meet strategic and tactical goals. Organize SLT and Director meetings to align these areas. Support the President in drafting Board reports and coordinating the data gathering required for the specific reporting cycles. Support the President and SLT in staff communications. Observe and assist the President and SLT in learning and improving their performance as a team. This includes setting suspenses / deadlines for SLT tasks and following up. Ensure the President has sufficient operational support in his role, including travel planning, donor relationship support, expense reporting, meeting planning, calendar management, and other areas as needed.
