This position will remain posted until filled.You would be managing and implementing rehabilitative programs that improve patient mobility and increase strength for orthopedic patients at our main clinic in downtown Reno. We want our patients to get back to moving the way they want to be moving. You would play a role in improving their lives each day. Develop strong relationships with fellow healthcare professionals and providers.ROC is expanding with two more operating suites opening the beginning of 2025 as we welcome eight new surgeons to our team. Join our team to be part of the growth and excitement!What would you do as a Physical Therapist?The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. You can expect to regularly:Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients;Review physician’s referral and patient’s medical records and confer with patient and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program;Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation;Test, measure and record in patient’s electronic medical record the patient’s strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and/or circulatory efficiency;Analyze patient progress and data, record in electronic medical record and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed;Educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote health;Instruct patient in use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes as well as in treatment procedures to be continued at home;Discharge patient from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained; provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals;Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to minimize impacts to clinic staffing schedules;Provide customer service and patient care, maintain confidentiality, and abide by HIPAA requirements.RequirementsCertifications/EducationDegree from an accredited physical therapy program;Active/unrestricted Nevada Physical Therapy license from Nevada State Board.Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) certification;Two years of experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting.Travel:
