Career Description

We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team in our Buckeye, AZ location!

New employees can earn 60K in total compensationwhen working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses.

There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives.

Position is full-time with benefits!

2nd Shift

Current 9 hour shift schedule:Monday - Thursday Night shift - 3pm - 12:30pmFriday Night shift - 2pm to 10:30pmMandatory alternating Saturdays Night shift - 2pm to 10:30pm

When working 8 hour schedule Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm

Assembles steel joist components ready for final welding; performs such work consistent with corporate mission, values and department's financial objectives.

Sets up jigs, reads and interprets shop drawings necessary for such work.Moves parts into position.Aligns parts.Tack welds or clamps parts into position ready for moving along conveyor to final welding area.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to, cleaning, metal scrap removal and other joist assembly-related activities.Pay Range Disclaimer

Career Requirements

High school diploma or GED.Six months experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, steel industry preferred.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.Physical Requirements

The ability to stand continuously, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.Frequently reach overhead with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend crouch, or crawl.Climb or balance frequently.Capable of lifting 50 lbs or moreClose vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focusWork Environment

Work near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.Noise in the work environment is generally very loud.PPEs Required

Shift

Current 2nd shift 9 hr schedule Monday - Thursday night 3pm - 12:30am, Friday night 2pm to 10:30pm and Mandatory alternating Saturdays night 2pm to 10:30pm. When working the 8 hr schedule Mon - Fri 2:00pm-10:30pm
