Job Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor II provides clinical and administrative supervision, hands-on coaching, direction and guidance to clinical associates, licensed therapists, case managers and/or practicum students. The Clinical Supervisor assists their supervisees with their day-to-day responsibilities, including clinical work, documentation and teamwork. The Clinical Supervisor II will be available to perform direct service tasks according to departmental needs. The Clinical Supervisor II may carry a small client-caseload. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible to the Clinical Program Director for implementing and maintaining all clinical operations in line with stated policies and procedures of C4K. The Clinical Supervisor will engage in multiple and various tasks encompassing the core areas of management/ leadership, program development, and quality assurance. The Clinical Supervisor II shall also perform administrative and clinical duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Clinical Oversight
Uphold the mission and core values of Counseling4Kids.Responsible for the direct clinical and administrative supervision of up to six (6) post-master's unlicensed clinician Associates, and up to two (2) case managers, practicum students, contracted therapists, and/or licensed therapists. Direct supervisees will be determined by the Clinical Program Director and agency need.Provide each supervisee with weekly in-office group and individual (or triadic) clinical supervision.Monitor and evaluate supervisees' clinical skills and decision making with assessment, diagnosis and treatment.Ensure the creation, development, implementation and review of clients' individualized mental health treatment plan.Review and approve supervisees' progress notes, assessments, care plans and other clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy, returning for corrections as needed.Ensure supervisees' documentation meets DMH and Medi-Cal/EPSDT requirements and is submitted within agency mandated timelines.Ensure supervisees' compliance with laws and regulations governing the practice of clinical social work or marriage and family therapy.Evaluate and respond to supervisees' performance with timely feedback, quarterly evaluations, and disciplinary action(s), as needed.Ensure supervisees meet agency service delivery requirements.Assist with recruitment, hiring and onboarding of new Associates.Assume primary, hands-on role of training new clinical associates, practicum students, case managers, and/or licensed therapists.Provide coverage and backup for clinicians and colleagues as needed, including rotational on-call after hours crisis support.Provide clinical coverage in-office five (5) days a week.During extended absence of a supervisee, cover their clinical responsibilities.Support supervisees in their progress to licensure with timely and accurate certification of weekly hours of experience, required supervisory plan, and evaluation of skills.Other duties as assigned.Other Duties

Licensed in California as an LMFT, LPCC, and or LCSWs for minimum of two (2) years.Minimum two (2) years recent experience supervising AMFTs, ACSW,s and/or APCCs, or practicum students in community mental health setting.Eligible to provide clinical supervision to APCCs, ACSWs and/or AMFTs per Board of Behavioral Sciences standards; supervision training requirements met.Clinical experience with children in field-based mental health services, in-home or school.Advanced knowledge and skills in community-based mental health and trauma informed careDemonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to the unique needs of a culturally diverse population.Experience with an EHR, preferably Exym.Ability to work in-office five days per weekPREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Training/familiarity in EBPs, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), CPP, Seeking Safety, and/or MAP - Managing and Adapting Practices.Experience providing field-based mental health services, in-home and/or schoolCurrent knowledge of LA County DMH documentation and Medi-Cal/ EPSDT.Clinical experience with foster youth/ child welfare involved populationsHighly effective written and verbal communication skills.Program implementation experienceStrong organizational and management skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelBilingual (Spanish) preferred
SIGN ON BONUS:
LMFTs or LPCCs: $5,000 (Issued in two installments: $2,500 upon date of hire and $2,500 upon successfully completing the one year introductory period). Internal applicants and employed by Counseling4Kids within the last 12 months will not be eligible.
LCSWs: $7,500 (Issued in two installments: $3,750 upon date of hire and $3,750 upon successfully completing the one year introductory period). Internal applicants and employed by Counseling4Kids within the last 12 months will not be eligible.
