Position Overview:
The Septic Truck Driver is a key company driver responsible for delivering exceptional service while servicing septic systems. This role involves complying with all DOT and state regulations, as well as adhering to company safety and compliance policies during the execution of services.
Essential Functions:
Pump and clean septic tanks as directed.Troubleshoot and repair septic systems.Perform plumbing and drain cleaning as needed.Locate and excavate tanks when required; this is a physically demanding position.Follow all DOT requirements for CDL drivers.Maintain strong customer service skills while interacting with clients.Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Education and Experience:
Valid CDL Class A required.Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.Requires the operation of a 10-speed manual transmission truckTanker endorsement required before day one of employment.Clean driving record is essential.Septic installation and repair experience is preferred but not required.Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent communication skills.Basic computer skills for record-keeping and service documentation.Working Environment:
Heavy driving with exposure to vibration and noise.Schedule variations may be required to meet customer demands.Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet weather conditions.Willingness to work in environments with strong odors and smells.
