Job Description Mortgage Loan Officer A Mortgage Loan Officer is a banker centered around the development and sales of mortgage loans. A mortgage lender is best suited for candidates that are self-starting, entrepreneurial, active in the community, and hungry for success. The real estate industry can be volatile, but high activity and consistent efforts lead to tremendous success. Mortgage Loan Officer Responsibilities Assists in providing quality loans for the financial institution by underwriting and evaluating residential mortgage applications originated by financial institution personnel, which includes loans originated through our Third-Party Origination agreement. Recommends approval of customer applications for residential loans or extensions of real estate loan lines of credit. Assists in maintaining, monitoring, and managing the pipeline. Assists with overseeing the preparation of accurate loan packages and ensuring on-time delivery to investors. Assists with setting rates in conjunction with managements guidance. Mortgage Loan Officer Requirements: Very active and involved in the community, with a solid understanding of the local real estate market Solidly connected with Real Estate Agents, Insurance Agents, and Developers in the local area Thorough understanding of loan underwriting, compliance, procedures, and current consumer/mortgage lending laws and regulations. Proficient communication - in person, over the phone, and via email Proficient math and computer skills Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and strong attention to detail Minimum of three (3) years of mortgage or lending experience. Proven track record of production in mortgage lending This opportunity includes an excellent compensation and benefits package.
