Operator 1, Assembler, 3rd Shift

Entry level Operator/Assemblers will be responsible for saw operating, drilling, assembling parts and banding skids in the Containment department. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain working knowledge of all equipment and processes in the Containment department.
These positions are 3rd shift positions with a schedule of 10:00pm to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Friday. Those that work 3rd shift positions receive a 10% shift differential on top of base pay rate.
Responsibilities
Learn and have a working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the department to include, but not be limited to: Monitoring the operation, making minor adjustments and performing preventative maintenance (such as cleaning the line)Positions parts and monitors operations on equipment while producing product at established production standards. Reports problems to Team Leader or Supervisor.Ability to make minor set-up changes to include changing Saw blades, Mills and Drills and set ups for various size production parts.Inspect parts to verify specifications meet Quality standards while maintaining established production standards.Read and follow established Manufacturing Operating Procedures or Standard Operating Procedures without deviation unless approved by Supervision.Complete production reporting and quality paperwork accurately as required.Efficiently use banding equipment and hand-jacks to ensure proper movement or storage of product or material.Keep supervisor informed of problems and equipment that is not operating properly.Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.Essential Functions
Must be able to lift a minimum of 5 lbs. and maximum of 40 lbs. repetitively for at least an 8 hour shift.Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, dial indicators, and feeler gauges.With proper PPE provided, must be able to work in an area that may contain non-hazardous airborne particles due to the manufacturing process.Must be able to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.Qualifications
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred.Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.Able to work in a team environment and interface within a diverse workforce.
