We are looking for part-time, experienced Truck Drivers to serve our sales team and customers in a safe and timely manner. Transport medium- and heavy-duty trucks from vendor lots to our business and/or deliver units to customersInspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues before driving the truck off the vendor lotReport defects, failed components that require repair before leaving vendor lot, accidents and/or violationsDocument and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving, and retain all fuel/hotel/toll receiptsComply with applicable rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods), as well as with company policies and proceduresRequirementsHold an active Commerical Driver's License (CDL) in good standingProven work experience as a Truck Driver and no recent driving violationsAbility to drive 8-10 hours at a time, if needed, and travel across state linesWilling and able to fly commerciallyExtensive knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, including DOT inspection basicsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (e.g., traffic, weather conditions, truck breakdowns, etc.)Mechanical adeptness is a plusWilling to submit background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
