On the AWS Finance team you will be surrounded by people that are exceptionally talented, bright, and driven, and believe that world class support is critical to customer success.AWS Finance seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to support AWS S3 and Glacier Services. This position will work closely with key business partners across AWS and other Amazon organizations to drive thoughtful planning, analysis, decision support, and controllership for future investment.- Taking the lead in overseeing S3 and Glacier external customer usage and revenue, including month-end reporting, annual planning and ad-hoc analysis;- Partner with the Sales organization and the Service team in developing short and long range financial forecasts - and present analysis to senior leadership for planning process (3YF/OP1/OP2/R&O)- Partner with S3 and Glacier product management team and provide financial support for pricing decisions including public prices, Go-To-Market strategies and private deal negotiations.- Developing and standardizing monthly and annual reports, compile and review results and communicate to company leaders.- Providing controllership on revenue, OpEx, margins, and model profit margin scenarios, and work with leadership and FP&A teams to develop and drive revenue and margin improvement plans- Working on ad hoc financial analyses and projects to analyze customer demand patterns.This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem solving skills, keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in project management. This role has regular interaction with various business leaders in AWS and requires strong communication and people skills.Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experiencePreferred Qualifications- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of Tableau- Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer- Six Sigma Black Belt- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experienceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
