Job Purpose
As an Assistant Store Manager, your role is to support and enhance daily store operations while building and leading a strong team. You will ensure the service center operates smoothly in line with M.C. LLC and Jiffy Lube policies and procedures. Your focus will be on improving store performance through outstanding customer service, maintaining a clean and organized facility, managing inventory efficiently, handling cash accurately, and maximizing the effectiveness of store labor.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesTrain and supervise employees to ensure effective performance and development.Represent Jiffy Lube with a high level of professionalism and exceptional service.Consistently exceed customer service expectations through proactive engagement.Enforce company policies related to safety, attendance, personal behavior, and other guidelines.Ensure adherence to OSHA and environmental regulations.Stay informed about current sales performance and targets.Address and resolve customer complaints and warranty issues in line with company standards.Complete all required computer-based and on-the-job training as needed.Manage customer flow to enhance service efficiency and reduce wait times.Generate sales for the store and revenue for the company.Order, receive, and audit inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and control.Communicate effectively with employees, leadership, and the HR team to address issues promptly.Attend monthly manager meetings and lead monthly store safety meetings to update staff on important topics.Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall store operations.Qualifications/Requirements
0-2 years of experience managing employees1-2 years of automotive/quick lube experience required.Valid U.S. driver's licenseExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsSucceeds in a team environment and works well with othersPassion for customer servicePassion for automotive repair and maintenanceWorking Conditions
Fast-paced environment.Intermittent pressure to produce under severe time constraints and deadlines.May be required to work beyond office hours and weekends from time to time.Physical Demands
Must be able to stand on concrete or metal surfaces for extended periods of time (typically no longer than 8 hours.)Work in an environment that frequently experiences extreme hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.Lift and move inventory items, trashcans and other work-related items (up to 50 pounds).Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time (typically no longer than 8 hours.Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the shift.
