The responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager include assisting the Business Manager with managing the overall operations of their assigned properties, ensuring high-quality resident living while achieving long and short-term business goals. This position oversees and assists the application and rental process to determine eligibility, monitor and ensure compliance with dwelling lease agreements, manage rental programs, and assure quality building and ground maintenance and security of the property. These properties offer modern amenities, comfortable living spaces, and are located in desirable communities. Responsibilities
Tenant Support:
Assist in managing tenant relations by responding to inquiries and addressing issues in a timely manner.Facilitate tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a smooth transition.
Leasing Assistance:
Help with the leasing process, including marketing available units, scheduling property showings, and processing rental applications.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rental ratesPropose renewal offers that involve discussing options with residents, presenting proposals, assisting in proposal selection, and drafting the lease agreement for residents to sign.Maintain accurate records of tenant eligibility and compliance with affordable housing regulations.
Maintenance Coordination:
Assist in coordinating maintenance and repair requests, by scheduling entry and service details with the resident.Conduct regular property inspections and report any maintenance issues to the Property Manager.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of leases, tenant communications, and maintenance requests.
Financial Support:
Help with rent collection and follow up on delinquent accounts.Assist in monitoring expenses
Regulatory Compliance:
Support compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations.Stay informed about changes in property management laws and regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience in multifamily property management or a related field is strongly preferred.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Proficient attention to detail, highly organized and able to multitask efficiently.Proficient in property management software, Yardi strongly preferred, and Microsoft Office Suite.Basic understanding of leasing agreements and property regulations.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
