Nurse Practitioner —Cardiovascular —Full Time Days

Our Cardiovascular service line is expanding and is in search of an Advanced Practice Provider for our Cardiothoracic and Vascular populations on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player who is highly organized with strong communication skills. The ability to function in a fast-paced environment is essential.

LOCATION: The address is 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093

SCHEDULE: Full Time Days - 4 10 hour shifts; Some weekend coverage.

Cardiovascular PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Growing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical programs

Primary Heart Attack Center

TAVR Program (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) and growing Structural Heart program overall.

Vision to continue growth and development of our high acuity capabilities to care for all patients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BSN, Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program Required.

MSN, Master's Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program Required

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

APRN - Advanced Practice Nurse Upon Hire Required

NP - Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required

2 (Two) Years experience as a Nurse Practitioner

One (1) Years cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery patient experience strongly preferred

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon—prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support –Within 30 days of hire preferred

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:

Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions.

Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings.

Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients.

Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care

Initiates actions to meet patients/families
