Physician Assistant - New Jersey
Compensation:
$100,000 - $135,000 per year DOE
Location: Multiple Locations (Bloomfield, Kearny, Union City, Englewood, Various Hospitals)

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Orthopedic Surgery practice in New Jersey. **
About the Job
This is a full-time on-site role for a Physician Assistant that requires traveling to all 4 locations regularly to meet the needs of our patients.

Training for Orthopedic Surgery practice is available! **
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough preoperative and postoperative assessments of patients.
Review patient medical histories and perform physical examinations.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.
Assist in the operating room during surgeries
Prepare and position patients for surgery.
Monitor patients' vital signs and provide post-operative care.
Collaborate with the Ortho-Spine Surgeon to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Provide patient education on treatment options, potential risks, and post-operative care.
Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor patients' progress and address any concerns.
Manage and update patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Assist in the coordination of patient care, including referrals and consultations.
Perform Surgical Rounding
Expected to hold an On-call status
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physical therapists, and radiologists.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns.
Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
Stay current with advancements in Orthopedic Surgery.
Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current New Jersey state license and certification as a Physician Assistant.
Previous experience in Orthopedic Surgery, however,
we are willing to train the right candidate.
Strong surgical assisting skills and familiarity with spine surgeries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Able to cover multiple locations in New Jersey
