BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The position of Industrial Vending Support – Inventory Control Specialist reports to the Operations manager and is responsible for managing and overseeing inventory levels for a set of customers to ensure efficient operations. Their tasks typically include tracking inventory, performing billing, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring accurate records in inventory management systems. They work to prevent overstocking or stockouts, coordinate with other departments for inventory needs, and implement strategies to optimize stock levels. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of inventory software are crucial for this role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· This position utilizes ERP, proprietary industrial vending software, MS Excel and MS Word on a daily basis.
· Perform daily transfers of Inventory and orders on schedule.
· Manage inventory and Inventory system.
· Working Slow & Dead, Return to Vendor, Updating Pricing.
· Performing new item set up and maintenance.
· Inventory review.
· Assuring inventory levels are met by expediting with vendors and purchasing.
· Generate invoices on schedule, using both automated and manual formats.
· Communicate with colleagues, suppliers and vending customers via phone, email and occasional visits.
· Practice integrity and professionalism in all aspects of business with colleagues, vendors and customers.
· Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
· Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS What You Need:
· High school or equivalent required.
· Advanced Excel Skills – Pivot Tables, Formulas, Macros, VLookup and more.
· Above average data entry, computer skills.
· Ability to multi-task and great attention to detail. Good time management.
· Work under deadlines as a team and alone, ability to self-manage work load.
· Above average communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Valid driver’s license is required.
Bonus Points If You Have:
· Two or four year degree preferred.
· Understanding of databases, automated vending or inventory control systems, inventory management and purchasing a plus.
· Product knowledge; Cutting Tools, Safety, Abrasives, MRO a plus
· AutoCrib, Cribmaster, Tool Boss system knowledge a plus.
· Experience with SQL and databases extremely helpful.

· A valid driver’s license is required.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
