Job Summary:

is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join one of our affiliate Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) teams. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for devising, executing, and assessing a patient care plan based on ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. They serve as a patient advocate, offering support, information, and hands-on care. Proficient in the use of medical equipment and technology, they demonstrate technical competence in nursing procedures. They educate patients and families on essential self-care matters and may also handle the inventory, distribution, and delivery of medications as needed.
Responsibilities:Perform pre-procedure assessments of patients scheduled for cardiac catheterization procedures.Assist cardiologists and cardiovascular technologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.Administer medications and intravenous fluids as directed by the cardiologist.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.Educate patients and their families about cardiac procedures, risks, and post-procedure care.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory standards within the Cath Lab.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes.Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations in the Cath Lab, following established protocols and procedures.Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved school of radiologyLicensed and currently registered as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you reside.Critical Care experience preferred.
