Non-Exempt PositionPart-Time (9 months)Hourly

The Driver is responsible for efficiently operating the school van/bus and safely transporting students for morning and afternoon bus routes and various athletic and field trips. The van/bus driver follows all regulations and procedures outlined in the Transportation Department Drivers' manual. The Driver reports to the Athletic Director.

Job Duties

Drive 15-passenger van for morning/afternoon routes, Monday-Friday.Drive the bus on an as-needed basis for AMHS sports & activities.

Basketball Team - 12 away games (December-February)Track & Field - approximately 5-7 meets (March-May)Various field trips throughout the year for classes and other clubs/activities

Keep daily attendance records of students transported on the bus and safely transport passengers.Follow the planned route and schedule for departure times and stops.Participates in extra bus runs as needed.Inspect the vehicle thoroughly before and after each trip.Performs routine documentation and maintenance tasks as assigned.Regularly check vehicle safety, such as tires, brakes, turn signals, and mechanical equipment, and report all mechanical issues to the Athletic Director immediately.Obey all traffic laws.Assist in the care and cleanliness of buses/vans and proactively check for bus readiness before transporting students.The driver must arrive promptly to ensure a timely bus schedule.Set a good example in promptness, manners, language, appearance, and health.Qualifications

Must support the Mission Statement of Archbishop Murphy High School.Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.Must hold a valid Washington State driver's license, including a valid Class C Washington State CDL with a Passenger endorsement (P) and School Bus Endorsement (S). (No CDL required if only driving 15-passenger vans.)Must maintain up-to-date first aid certification.The driver is expected to be clean, well-groomed, and dressed in reasonable and modest attire.Must complete a pre-employment criminal background check, driver MVR background check, and complete a 45-minute Virus Training.Driver must be able to work part-time, split shifts, and some non-standard hours.Due to insurance restrictions, drivers must be at least 25.Salary Range : ($25/hour) any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.Benefits : This is a non-benefited position.Application Process: To apply, complete the Seattle Archdiocese Employment Application on the Seattle Archdiocese website: https://www.applitrack.com/seattlearch/onlineapp/default.aspx?all=1
