Operate tools and equipment and use safe work habits.Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.Install tool boxes under or on trailers.Mount tires on suspensions.Clean trailers after assembly.Pinstripe or sticker trailers.Mount fenders and mud flaps.Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.Lay out, position, align, and secure parts using hand tools and measurement tools.Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout and assembly.Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.Position and secure work pieces using hoists, cranes, wire, and banding machines or hand tools.Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.Set up and use ladders and platforms as necessary to complete work in a safe manner.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred.Strong mechanical ability and/or experience required.Ability to accurately read and interpret drawings and prints.Ability to accurately use and read micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and precision measuring instruments.Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment, including hoists and cranes.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to stand, walk, climb, crawl, and bend for extended periods of time.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.Ability to work at heights of up to 15 feet.WORK ENVIRONMENT
