Job Details:
Scheduled hours: 24 hours per week, (6:30 PM - 7AM) every third weekend
Job Description:
Assumes the responsibility of diagnostic services including: EEG, EKG, Cardiac Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring, Pulmonary Function Testing, Pulse Oximetry, Fit Testing, Six Minute Walks, and Breath Alcohol testing (some testing done offsite). Coordinates and assists with Ventilator care, PAP Therapy. Collects Arterial Blood Gas specimens and occasional venipuncture specimens. Administers treatments and other therapeutic procedures to assist in the recovery of patients with respiratory and/or cardiac insufficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
Graduate of an CoARC approved Respiratory Therapist program.
Maintains valid licensure/certification/registration.
Licensed by the State of Iowa as RCP
Credentialed by the NBRC as a CRT or RRT
Must pass RRT registry exam within 1 year or will move to the CRT wage scale.
Preferred:
BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP preferred at time of hire or within 1 year of hire. Stable is also preferred.
