Within CO+I, the Core Datacenter Services (CDS) team is responsible for delivering improving the overall availability and efficiency for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have multiple teams focused on both Microsoft and lessor datacenter performance and all aspects of datacenter utilization effectiveness that includes power, water and labor. We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager, Supply Chain to support the Supply Chain program across datacenters globally.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.

Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance when working with Software and Hardware Engineering to design crucial technical solutions across feature areas. You’ll also give key stakeholders data-driven recommendations based on identified risks.

Define success criteria and create relationships for implementing multiple feature areas for crucial cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate, ensure alignment, and gain buy-in across the business.

Deliver on the multi-year roadmap for multiple feature groups across divisions, lead tracking of project schedules, oversee development of staging and implementation plans, and oversee governance programs.

Drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing text cases from scratch.

Provide expertise needed for departments to collect performance metrics, oversee customer support, and define, lead, and mentor others in direct customer engagements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

OR equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,

OR product development

OR equivalent experience.

8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
