Happy Day Transit has provided bus, livery, and ambulette transportation services in New York City since 1982. We are a family-owned business that currently operates 75 vehicles. We are hiring drivers to expand our bus operation in Brooklyn and Queens.

Full Time or Part Time Available

The responsibilities of a bus driver include: Transporting children on fixed routes to and from various locations throughout Brooklyn and Queens. Drivers are responsible for completing a pre-trip vehicle inspection, operating the vehicle carefully in compliance with traffic regulations, and ensuring that all passengers are transported safely and on time. All of our routes have an attendant to take care of the children.

Minimum $24.05 per hour + starting salary

Guaranteed hours, overtime available, work all year including summer schools

Requirements:

Must have a New York State Commercial Driver's License (Class C, B, or A) with "P" Passenger endorsement.

"S" School bus endorsement is NOT required

Sorry, we cannot accept a CDL with "N2" restriction

Must pass a drug test and background check

Must be authorized to work in the United States

By subway: L train to Wilson Avenue or J/Z to Chauncey Street.

By car: Take Central Avenue to the dead end at Pilling Street.
