Description. Chimera Enterprises International is seeking a Risk Manager to support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO- CBRND) JPEO-CBRND Medical Office. The JPEO-CBRND manages our nation’s investments in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense equipment, and medical countermeasures. battlespace worldwide. This position requires a Secret clearance.
Job Duties:
Lead projects or tasks which involve tracking risk and providing constant status or process oversight.
Manage and execute the DoD acquisition and life cycle management policies, procedures, and practices; and apply the DoDI 5000.02 process to the development of medical products and systems.
Develop, maintain, update, and distribute/deliver organizational Risk Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and monitor program activities for consistency with the approved SOPs.
Participate actively on multiple projects, facilitating risk management efforts (i.e., risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning) and providing the risk management subject matter expertise needed to fulfill the critical planning and execution requirements that contribute to program success.
Manage program and portfolio level risks and issues within the Project Recon risk management tool, assigning user permissions within the product office, providing training on an as needed basis, and working with the application’s manufacturer to improve functionality of the tool.
Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate all Risk Management Boards within the Joint Project Management Office.
Prepare and distribute formal risk reports containing analyses and recommendations to organizational leadership. In addition, the candidate shall present these reports, for each program of record within the program office, to the risk management board(s).
Review and assess technical, cost, and schedule data and work with Government staff to identify shortfalls and potential corrective actions.
Provide input to support annual, monthly, and weekly recurring reports, as needed.
Manage and provide updates on issues, upcoming meetings, briefings, and taskers related to assigned projects, both orally and in written form.
Write, and review high-level staff action papers, studies, policies, and acquisition documents.
Manage, synchronize, and track multiple, complex, and cross-functional actions.
Advise and assist the Acquisition Directorate and Program Managers with other duties as assigned as it relates to program management and DoD Acquisition.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Possess experience in project management, engineering management, DoD acquisition, or another related subject of comparable complexity and responsibility.
Possess working knowledge of, and be fully conversant with, the Defense Acquisition System, Adaptive Acquisition Framework; including, acquisition processes and policies as outlined in the DoDI 5000.02, relating it to product development, production, and sustainment.
Possess an in-depth knowledge of the DoD risk management process (i.e., identifying, analyzing, mitigating, documenting, tracking and reporting risks).
Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, with specific experience in effective use of Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, among a variety of audiences.
Education
Bachelor’s degree and/ or 10 years of equivalent work experience.
