Job Description
You Will:
Manage global indirect tax compliance activities, including accurate accounting, forecasting, and analysis.
Participate in projects to improve reporting, update tax systems, and implement automation for efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to meet global regulations and internal policies.
Ensure data reconciliation and document management for accuracy and automation.
Establish and uphold policies, procedures, and controls for tax reporting and compliance, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
Issue resolution:
Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve global indirect tax audits and tax inquiries (including customers).
Leadership and Team Development:
Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development for team members.
Coordinate tax activities to optimize resources and achieve goals.
Contribute as a strategic advisor in discussions with business partners.
Continuous Improvement:
Improve internal reporting and enhance data accuracy.
Use technology to streamline compliance processes.
Implement technology solutions for improved tax reporting.
Planning and Risk Management:
Gather and analyze data for tax planning and risk management.
Stay updated on global tax laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve strategic goals and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:Qualifications
You Have:
CPA, Master's in Tax, or JD preferred.
7+ years of experience in public accounting firms or equivalent experience in a multinational corporation.
Advanced knowledge in indirect tax, with expertise in at least one area and a solid understanding of broader tax disciplines.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage multiple teams and projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
Proven track record in resolving complex tax issues and providing strategic counsel.
Ability to independently initiate and lead business and strategic analyses.
Experience in policy and procedure development related to tax compliance and reporting.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $142,000 - USD $213,000
Zone B: USD $132,100 - USD $198,100
Zone C: USD $124,900 - USD $187,300
Zone D: USD $113,600 - USD $170,400
