Responsibilities
Job Description:Prepare and process monthly general ledger journal entries; including, but not limited to, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, month-end accruals, and other miscellaneous entries.Participate in the month-end closing procedures; including the reconciliation of asset, liability, equity and expense accountsResponsible for monthly expense account analysis, including review of monthly expense activity and making the necessary reclassification journal entriesParticipate in the reconciliation of monthly intercompany expensesReconcile multiple intercompany receivable & payable accounts on a monthly basisResponsible for fulfilling external audit inquiriesMaintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and SEC pronouncementsSupport Financial Planning & Analysis with the review and posting of monthly accrualsPerform special projects as neededQualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Skills/Abilities Needed:
Must have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesExtensive accounting knowledge and familiarity with month-end closing demands within a publicly traded firmProficient in MS Excel & WordThe ideal candidate will have experience working within SAP FI & Oracle Financials SoftwareAbility to prioritize workload within the bounds of deadlinesFixed Asset AccountingAccrual AccountingPrepaid Expense AmortizationIntercompany related AccountingExpense AnalysisAccommodating quarterly external audit requestsExperience with SAP and/or Oracle would be a plusMinimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum education is a Bachelor degree in AccountingMinimum experience should be 3-5 years in an accounting environment, preferably with a publicly traded corporationPreferred Qualifications:
