About the Role:
10Pearls is looking for an accountant with payroll expertise that will manage our payroll processes for the US team. This person will work closely with the Accounting Manager and VP of Finance to facilitate smooth payroll processes and contribute to the overall success of the accounting function. A strong candidate will be able to navigate a rapidly growing organization by contributing immediately and suggesting and initiating improvements to processes along the way.
We are seeking candidates local to our headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA, and able to be on site 4-5 days per week.
Your Day to Day:Perform a variety of payroll -related tasks, including processing payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing payroll-related support to employeesLiaise with the human resources team to track all payroll updates and ensure accuracy in semi-monthly payrollManage payments to contractors using the Deel platformResponsible for the reconciliation of incoming, outgoing, expense reimbursement, and benefits in a timely mannerProduce semi-monthly payroll reports for sign-offComplete journal entries as well as balance to the general ledgerVerify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivableProduce error-free accounting and payroll reports and present their resultsAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusSpot errors & trends to suggest ways to improve efficiencyReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsEnsure compliance with GAAP principlesWhat Our Team is Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent requiredMinimum 3-5 years' experience preparing payroll for US entities of over 50 employeesExtreme attention to detail and appreciation for accuracy, with the ability to oversee and refine internal procedures to ensure error-free payroll processingUnderstanding of and comfort with multi-state payroll processesIn-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experience with state tax entities and management of state tax registration, payments, and other compliance itemsHands-on experience with accounting software packages, Sage Intaact preferredExperience managing payroll in iSolved / Payroll Network preferredComfort managing spreadsheets and data sets in Microsoft ExcelExceptional organizational skills and ability to independently manage competing prioritiesAbility to proactively spot and remediate potential problemsEntrepreneurial spirit, eager to make an impact in collaboration with a global teamAbout 10Pearls:
