Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to serve as a lead or assistant electrician on custom automation projects. This role is responsible for the electrical and controls segments of each project and requires a strong electrical aptitude and experience working from electrical schematics.
Responsibilities
Serve as lead or assistant electrician on custom automation projects.
Work from electrical schematics to complete electrical and controls segments of each project.
Read and interpret detail and assembly blueprints.
Read and understand the Bill of Materials to organize parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials needed to complete tasks.
Maintain multiple tasks in order.
Operate basic hand and power tools safely and accurately.
Maintain a safe and clean/organized working environment.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks to achieve group goals.
Travel occasionally as needed.
Essential Skills
Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 3-5 years minimum related experience and/or training preferred.
Experience in reading electrical schematics.
Ability to read and interpret detail and assembly blueprints.
Knowledge and ability to operate basic hand and power tools safely and accurately.
Ability to maintain a safe and clean/organized working environment.
Ability to pass physical, drug screening, and background check.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to assemble components by examining for correct fit and function using correct fasteners, machined and commercial details.
Ability to verify specifications of assemblies by measuring completed components to exact dimensions utilizing precision measurement tools.
Mechanical aptitude.
Engineering thought process (understanding the actions and steps required to produce mechanical motion).
Previous machining or welding experience.
Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled and very comfortable. While the role is somewhat physical, but it is not overly demanding. The shift is from 5:30am to 2pm.
