Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Finance, the Financial Analyst - Manufacturing will be a key member of the manufacturing team. The role will support the project governance and financial controls process for the HARIBO manufacturing facilities. The Financial Analyst – Manufacturing will analyze and impact business results, support the business performance presentation to upper management, as well as leading ad hoc projects, especially throughout the operations processes. This position is located at our brand-new manufacturing facility located in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Responsibilities

Prepare consolidation of monthly P&L vs. plan/LBE/ PY, including volume, manufacturing cost, financial bridges, and historical trends.

Assist in the month-end financial close of assigned components of the P&L including identification and resolution of unusual items in a timely manner.

Serve as a trusted partner to the manufacturing organization by articulating, reviewing, and analyzing operational performance, financial forecasts, and executing financial planning.

Implementation of manufacturing KPI’s with accurate validation on a weekly and monthly basis.

Provide in-depth analysis on variances and trends for key operational performance drivers (e.g. production tonnage, scrap, utilization rate) and proactively communicate and partner with the operations team.

Participate in the manufacturing finance group building out and providing ongoing financial and operational metrics and data points so that business strategies and factory performance can be refined and improved.

Perform costing activities for new products and BOM revisions.

Ensure inventory controls are working effectively.

Develop cost standards and annual financial plan for production business unit(s); develop year-to-year cost change analysis for product(s) supported.

Assist in the development and maintenance of budgeting, forecasting, and modeling tools.

Contribute to the preparation of board decks for upper management in partnership with business leaders and cross-functional finance partners.

Qualifications

Required

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.

Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting in a manufacturing industry.

Previous working SAP system experience is required; Finance and manufacturing modules strongly preferred.

Previous manufacturing experience is required.

Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) with intermediate to advanced Excel skills is required.

Preferred

Master’s Degree/ MBA, CMA or CPA or other financial certification preferred.

CPG industry experience is strongly preferred.

Experience in Power BI and ability to analyze data to support the business.

Skills

Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment, problem solving and decision- making skills in a change agility focused business environment.

Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and pivot quickly and effectively if necessary while ensuring tasks get completed on a timely basis.

Ability to partner cross functionally with people at all levels of the organization.
