GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Clinical Tech is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients with supervision by department nursing staff and/or physicians.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High school diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following:

Current nursing student who has minimally completed two semesters;

LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program completion;

Certification in Phlebotomy;

Previous Clinical Tech experience.

Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.

Ability to recognize differences in care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.

Experience in an acute care setting, preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Valid BLS certification or obtained during Patient Care Orientation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:

60-90 day temporary assignment, non-benefit eligible.

Works in clinical area of greatest need due to staffing shortages, not limited to single clinical area.

Must work every other weekend.

Must work every other holiday.

Must work 36 hours per week/72 hours per pay period.

Must fulfill 56-112 day schedule commitment.

Minimum of 1.5-2 years related work experience required.

Eligible Positions: Nurse Assistant; ER Tech; Medical Assistant; Home Health Tech; Surgical Tech.
