Posting Close Date : 12/31/2024The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) seeks Pediatric Neurology physician for one position at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor or Professor/Physician Surgeon of Pediatrics or of Clinical Pediatrics to enhance a growing division. The positions require 2 years of Pediatrics Residency and 3 years of Neurology Fellowship and can be tenure or non-tenure. Candidates must be BC/BE in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology and will hold or be eligible for an Illinois physician's license.
The ideal Child Neurology candidate will be BC/BE in Pediatrics or in Neurology with a Pediatric Neurology concentration and will hold or have applied for an Illinois physician's license. The position includes patient care services, teaching medical students and residents, and opportunities to pursue research.
Malpractice insurance is provided by the University of Illinois system and an excellent benefits package available including vacations, sick time, CME, health and life insurance and retirement plan.

The Pediatric Neurologist will provide clinical services both in-patient and out-patient primarily at OSF Healthcare Children's Hospital of Illinois. They will be responsible for teaching medical students and residents. Scholarly work activity (research, quality improvement, and advocacy) is expected but tailored to the faculty member's interests.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide acute and ongoing consultative care to children with neurologic problems in the hospital and outpatient setting.Participate in educational and training programs for medical students and residents of the Department of Pediatrics.Participate in collaborative research activities of the Division and Department.Perform other duties of a university faculty member including committee assignments, curriculum development and student counseling.Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications
