Role Overview:

As a

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician

at ProHealth Care, you'll play an essential role in the Neuroscience Department, serving patients with disabilities, injuries, and chronic conditions. This outpatient-based role also includes inpatient consults and call responsibilities, promoting comprehensive patient care from clinic to hospital. Our neuroscience team is dedicated to maximizing function, mobility, and quality of life through collaboration, personalized treatment, and advanced care.

Schedule:

Outpatient clinic with 1-in-5 inpatient call rotation at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin (RHoW).

Responsibilities:

Provide general physiatry care in an outpatient setting

Conduct patient assessments to diagnose physical impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities

Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions like physical therapy, occupational therapy, medications, injections, and other modalities

Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physical therapists, occupational therapists, surgeons, neurologists, and other specialists

Monitor and adjust treatment plans according to patient progress

Inpatient unit coverage at RHOW, with 1 in 5 weekend call rotation

Educate patients on self-management strategies, adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and community resources

Collaborate with case managers, insurance providers, and rehabilitation facilities to ensure effective care transitions

Additional Opportunities:

Inpatient consults at Waukesha Memorial, Oconomowoc Memorial, and Waukesha Hospital at Mukwonago

Ultrasound-guided injections, Botox administration, and EMGs in the outpatient clinic setting

Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications:

M.D. or D.O. graduate

Board Certified or Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Licensed by the State Medical Board

Highly collaborative and skilled in leading patient-centered care teams

Committed to delivering high-quality primary care, including availability to patients and a focus on both medical and social needs

Driven to care for patients with comorbid conditions, the elderly, and/or medically underserved populations
