Description
NEFCO is a construction supply company. We provide support to our contractors by serving as the channel that unites them with the construction products that they need. When it comes to the contractor, we are always there when they need us. We never stop working for them. When they build, we build together.
Reporting to the shift Warehouse Lead or Logistics Manager, this position has primary responsibility for keeping inventory organized and ready to ship to customers as well as branch locations.
Responsibilities include the following:
Provides general assistance, including pulling and staging ordersPerforms bin location maintenancePerforms tasks to ensure safety, organization and cleanliness of the warehouseAssists in conducting cycle counting to insure inventory accuracyAttends safety training and meetings; follows rules and regulationsPerforms forklift inspections and completes reports; forklift operationCommunicate consistently with management, all branch personnelMay perform Receiving and Shipping functions as follows:Verifying inventory against purchase orders for accuracyReceiving inventory into the NEFCO ERP software systemStaging/Shelving inventoryUses RF technology to pick orders and verifies itemsSends picked orders to packing departmentPack goods following NEFCO processes and proceduresLoads trucks with packed orders in a specified sequence3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6:30am
Requirements
High school diploma (or equivalent)Ability to use NEFCO's ERP software systemAbility to use warehouse layouts for planning purposesBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plusBasic computer skillsMust have a positive, hard-working attitudeAbility to establish priorities, work independently and little supervisionAbility to multitaskExcellent communication skillsAbility to stands on concrete floor for long periods of timeMust be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of timeAbility to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for liftingAbility to safely lift up to 50 lbsAbility to review and interpret computer images and written documentsAnalytical ability including basic math skillsHS diploma or GED required
