Responsibilities
The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) provides care that requires knowledge and skills obtained from advanced formal education and clinical experience.The ACNP, in collaboration with the physicians and interdisciplinary team, may provide preventive, acute, specialized and primary care services to patients consistent with the nurse's education and certification.Services provided by the ACNP may include, but are not limited to the following: 1) assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of identified health needs; 2) ordering and interpretation of diagnostic and/or laboratory tests; 3) formulating, documenting, and monitoring treatment plans; 4) routine wound or post-operative dressing management; 5) ordering interdisciplinary consults; and 6) ordering pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies and/or interventions.In addition to standard ACNP responsibilities, duties also include the day to day management and development of the nurse practitioner program at SCH-C.This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Master of Science or Doctorate in NursingActive OH Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license with eligibility for licensure in states as needed for telemedicineActive OH RN license with eligibility for licensure in states as needed for telemedicineAcute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) certification from the PNCBBLS certification. PALS certification within 3 months of hireDEA certificationPreferred:
