POSITION SUMMARY
Western Colorado Radiologic Associates is seeking a Physician Assistant that is a health care professional credentialed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) to perform medical services under the supervision of a supervising physician (radiologist). Under the supervision of a licensed radiologist, PA's exercise autonomy in decision making in the role of a primary health caregiver with regard to patient assessment and management in providing a broad range of diagnostic and interventional radiology services.
* Supervision Defined : Any or all staff radiologists present on a given day will provide supervision of the physician assistant. Supervision is defined as: The overseeing or participation in the work of another individual by a licensed radiologist where all of the following conditions exist:
a) The continuous availability of direct communication in person, electronically, telephonically or by fiber optics between the PA and the radiologist.
b) The availability of the radiologist on a regularly scheduled basis to review the practice of the PA, to provide consultation to the PA, to review records, and to further educate the PA in the performance of their professional duties.
c) The provision by the radiologists to the PA of predetermined procedures and protocols.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for performing a variety of interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures in both the outpatient and hospital settings
• Sharing the responsibility of hospital call with current PA's to include, weekday nights, weekends and holidays. (Approximately one night of call per week, one weekend a month and rotation of holiday call coverage, subject to change.)

We enjoy great year-round weather and close proximity to world class skiing (Vail, Aspen, Telluride, Steamboat, Crested Butte), mountain and road biking, kayaking, climbing, hunting, and fishing.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of ColoradoMust be a graduate of an ARC accredited PA program, have active DEA license and BLS/ACLS certification
