Position Summary:
K1 is seeking an Analyst, Finance Operations to join the FP&A team at our office located in Manhattan Beach, CA in February of 2025! We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical and communication skills, a hunger to learn, the capacity to multi-task, and the ability to work as part of a team. You will work together with K1 investment teams to provide insights on portfolio company performance and trends. You will interact with finance leaders and act as a consultant to bring best practices to bear in order to guide and support people, process, and system improvements at our growing portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze portfolio company monthly financial results, review bank reporting packages, and evaluate cash forecasts
Support portfolio company annual budgeting process and model building
Collaborate with others on the FP&A team to enhance and maintain operational finance best practices relevant for growth stage SaaS companies
Support onboarding of new companies into K1 processes and systems
Assist in the ongoing improvement of K1 reporting practices; enhancing the quality of information provided and the efficiency of its production through process and system improvements
Conduct ad-hoc analysis utilizing financial, operational, and sales data
Establish and maintain relationships with finance teams of the portfolio companies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a focus in Finance or Accounting -- Calling all December 2024 (or earlier) grads!
First generation college students are encouraged to apply
0-2 years of Finance/Accounting experience, preferred
Proven track record of going above and beyond on with required tasks at current position or educational institution
Demonstrated interest in finance and desire to learn
Ability to communicate at various levels of an organization and build relationships with stakeholders
Proactive and high-energy with a hands-on approach to problem solving
Results-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and expeditiously
Ability to travel

As of the date of this posting, K1 Investment Management, LLC reasonably expects to pay $85,000 annually, plus a competitive bonus structure for the position of FP&A Analyst.
