The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) seeks to hire an Information Technology (IT) and Operations Assistant to contribute to the daily operations of the Center. The person in this position will work closely with the Director of Operations and the Center's managed services provider to maintain IT infrastructure and critical systems. This is an in-person role based in CNAS' Washington, DC office and is not a remote position.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Administer and maintain the Center's IT equipment and systems in collaboration with the Director of Operations and the Center's managed services provider.Troubleshoot the Center's technology systems to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including but not limited to: macOS devices, Okta single sign on software, cloud-based systems, and A/V infrastructure.OPERATIONS
Assist the Director of Operations and Administrative Assistant with other operational responsibilities as needed. Examples of other operations responsibilities include helping with human resources (HR) and facilities tasks.INSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend internal meetings and events.Represent CNAS externally.Execute other duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Required:
Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study (computer science, information science, information technology, etc.).Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills.Willingness and ability to maintain confidentiality.Legal right to work in the United States.Based in Washington, DC or willing to relocate upon job offer.Preferred:
Two to five years of work experience in a relevant IT position.COMPTIA A+ or similar IT certification.Experience working with and maintaining macOS devices.Experience managing an Okta SSO and cloud-based IT environment.Experience with Microsoft Office 365/Exchange Admin Center.
