Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney position based in the
Buffalo, NY area
(reporting to our
White Plains, NY
Office).The PositionThis is an excellent opportunity for medical malpractice attorneys to continue to develop in their careers by joining a team within a large, national firm.
This is a remote position working with other Upstate-based attorneys reporting to our firm's White Plains, NY office.Key Responsibilities:Independently manage a caseload involving medical malpractice claimsWork closely with other attorneys, team members, and Partners on legal projectsRegularly handle court appearances and depositionsCommunicate with clients and provide status reportsOpportunity to handle significant caseload of COVID lawsuits
QualificationsJD from an accredited law schoolMust be admitted to practice in New York2+ years of defense litigation experienceExperience in Medical Malpractice, Long-Term Care, or General Liability preferredExcellent written and oral communication skillsLegal project management experience is helpful
A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.Pay Range $120,000—$160,000 USD
