Disney Entertainment’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.
The DTC Strategy team supports DTC and Disney leadership in driving profitable growth and innovation by collaborating with stakeholders across the business to provide market intelligence, identify opportunities, and deliver actionable strategies and business plans. The team’s activities and accomplishments have contributed to the growth and success of the streaming business. Examples of work the group has led recently include:
Developing novel growth strategies for Disney+ and Hulu (e.g., pricing, product feature prioritization, content investment, windowing, bundling, distribution, etc.)
Assessing partnership and joint venture opportunities
Creating strategy materials for the Board of Directors and the investor community (e.g., earnings call preparations, Investor Day)
Job Summary:
Conduct market research leveraging a variety of sources.
Analyze subscriber engagement data to inform content distribution strategies.
Work with managers and other analysts on analyses to inform decision making across a variety of projects, including new business development opportunities and growth strategies.
Build slides to summarize analysis and recommendations for streaming leadership and broader Disney leadership team.
What You'll Do:
Build analyses to support decision-making and strategic initiatives, with support from team members (30%)
Complete market research and track industry trends (40%)
Develop slide presentations to summarize strategic initiatives for leadership team (30%)
What You'll Need:
This is an entry-level Analyst position for recent college graduates.
Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university
Analytical mindset and ability to structure ambiguous problems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Passion for streaming entertainment and technology
Nice-To-Haves:
Prior internship experience in a rigorous analytical role (investment banking, consulting, corporate strategy, data analytics)
Familiarity with financial modeling in Excel
The hiring range for this position in CA is $58,700.00 to $78,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
