Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Auditor II will be a key contributor to Elbit America’s Internal Audit Program, which provides independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve the organization's operations, and to help the organization meet its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Responsibilities and Tasks (listed in bullet format) in order of priority to be successful

Conduct audits, perform risk assessments, assess internal controls and business processes, and make recommendations to improve the company’s performance.

Further the goals of Elbit America’s Internal Audit program, ensuring that the program’s initiatives contribute to growth and change for the betterment of the business.

Directly contribute to the completion of the Head of Internal Audit; the Vice President, Compliance, Ethics & Audit; and other organization leaders’ goals and objectives.

Work as a partner with functional and business unit team members to provide value-added reviews and audits to ensure the effectiveness of controls and operational efficiency.

Prepare draft audit reports to communicate findings and recommendations effectively to senior management.

Provide guidance to and oversight of external audit resources.

Ensure that Internal Audit adheres to: (a) the Code of Ethics established by The Institute of Internal Auditors and (b) the Elbit Systems of America Code of Business Conduct and Ethics including: Integrity, Objectivity, Confidentiality, Competency and Independence.

Adhere to and recommend changes to the policies and procedures that guide the internal audit activity.

Communicate effectively to senior management and the recipients of internal audit services.

Provide other ad-hoc support as requested by the Head of Internal Audit and Lead Internal Auditor.

Qualifications: Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is required

3-5 years of functional experience using skill set required

Certified Internal Auditor preferred

Skills and Abilities

Required:

Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, and the ability to identify and assess risks both at the enterprise and at the process levels.

Ability to analyze business processes using tools such as process mapping and performance measurement.

Ability to analyze the root causes of problems using systematic methodologies.

Knowledge of corporate governance, internal controls and accounting practices.

Familiar with Sarbanes-Oxley, section 404, and internal control over financial reporting (ICFR).

Ability to contribute to reports, suitable for communication with management.

Ability to communicate material orally to management.

Desirable:

Knowledge of government contracting compliance, including government business systems, FAR and DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards, and the DCAA Contract Audit Manual.

Experience conducting program management and finance audits.

Ability to use data analytics software, audit software, or statistical software.

Travel/Physical Requirements

Ability to travel as required
