position in Downtown, Des Moines, IA available for the ideal candidate.We offer a competitive employee benefit program for our part time employees which includes voluntary life insurance, paid holidays, and paid sick days.This position would require driving a Salvation Army vehicle to pick-up and transport beneficiaries and/or employees from and to specified destinations and/or deliver packages, inter-officemail.etc.as requested by supervision, by performing the following duties.Essential functions and responsibilities:Transport beneficiaries
to/from
work therapy assignments.Transport Salvation Army personnel to/from official business.Responsible for the safety and security of assigned vehicle (including securing of vehicle at end of day).Daily inspections of air, water, oil, etc. to maintain equipment in good operating equipment.Responsible to promptly report to immediate supervisor all accidents involving assigned vehicle, personal injury, or property damage.Act as personal representative of The Salvation Army and ensure that all passengers are treated courteously. Immediately report any problem in pick-ups to immediate supervisor through the dispatcher/supervisor.Wear provided back guard when doing any substantial lifting or moving.Personally maintain a neat appearance, including clean clothing.Responsible for loading and unloading of assigned vehicle when making deliveries.Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army
