Part-Time Driver
EAC Network, a distinguished not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting over 62,888 individuals through 100 essential programs across Long Island and NYC, is seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver for our Port Washington Senior Community Service Center (SCSC).

Make a Difference: Play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our elderly participants by ensuring their safe and reliable transportation. Your Role:
As a Driver, you will be the key to providing dependable transportation for our senior participants, ensuring they arrive safely and comfortably at the Port Washington SCSC.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe Transportation: Drive participants to and from the Port Washington SCSC with utmost care, adhering to all safety regulations and ensuring everyone uses seat belts. Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the program vehicle in excellent condition, report any issues to the Center Manager, and maintain accurate records of repairs and mileage. Operational Support: Manage transportation lists, confirm reservations with center members, and maintain the vehicle's fuel and cleanliness. Additional Duties: Assist with meal service, kitchen clean-up, and setting up or breaking down daily activities as needed. Policy Adherence: Follow all guidelines outlined in the EAC Network Personnel Manual and Agency Driver Policy. Flexibility: Occasionally assist at other EAC Senior Program locations during regular working hours if required. What Were Looking For:
License and Certification: Valid NY State Commercial Driver's License with passenger endorsement, with a clean driving record. Defensive driving course required every 3 years. Navigation Skills: Ability to read and interpret maps and GPS for efficient route planning. Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively and understand the needs of elderly individuals. Detail-Oriented: Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
