Assembler II.WHAT YOU WILL DO:As the
Assembler II , responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:Fabricate and assemble critical aerospace parts/components. Perform cuts, strip, crimp, terminate, and continuity check wire assemblies.Utilize solder pots, solder irons, crimp tooling, wire cutters, laser wire strippers, digital calipers, and other hand tools to assemble units per customer specifications, drawings or manufacturing process instructions.Read blueprints, illustrations, or specifications to determine layouts or sequence of operationsUnderstand Company, Customer, and Industry standards and requirements.Communicate clearly with Procurement department and suppliers as needed.Work to meet customer & internal production schedules.Ensure proper assembly, or rework, or adjust.Maintain high level of integrity dealing with all departments within the organizationIdentify process improvements.Maintain work area to appropriate standards, based on 6S methodologies.Drive to meet or exceed time goals for each job performed.Learn to utilize PLEX operating system as related to Production and job function.
ABOUT YOU:Certified to J-STD-001 Solder Workmanship.Certified to IPC-A-610/620 Wire Harness Workmanship.Certified to NASA 8739.4 StandardsHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent.Skilled using measuring equipment, such as scales, calipers, micrometers, hand tools.Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.Work from engineering drawings/specs, engineering change notices or established operating procedures.Experience with PC skills (Microsoft Office-Excel, Word).Effective communication skills, Motivated, Self-starter, punctualSoldering experienceFiber Optics assembly process experience
Cable Over braid experience
Minimum of 3 years in Aerospace Manufacturing environment or equivalent. Use of Form Board during assembly process. Injection over mold process.
PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to read, understand and execute both written and verbal instructions such as blueprints and electrical wiring schematics.Ability to read scales, tape measures and calipers.Ability to see details at close range.Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.Ability to retain large amounts of data and to execute a task at hand by recalling the data.Ability to use tools such as Side Cutters, Crimpers, Wire Stripers, Special Jigs, Press tools.Knowledge of basic to intermediate computer skills.Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.Ability to work individually and handle multitasking.Ability to receive instructions and communicate instructions as needed.
