Job Summary:
Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of Heart and Vascular Center Procedures including Cardiac Catheterization, Endovascular, Electrophysiology and Cardiac Ultrasound. Serves as a liaison to internal/external departments/agencies and coordinates scheduling procedures with multiple patient care and testing areas. Obtains insurance authorizations as necessary. Answers and directs phone calls to appropriate HVC departments. Assists Team leader with QA projects and perform support duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and two years relevant experience, preferably in a health care setting or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Ability to manage multiple priorities, excellent communication and computer skills and ability to work independently required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical terminology, surgical and medical scheduling and EPIC EMR Software experience preferred.
Work Days:
M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm rotating 8:30am - 5:00pm, Holidays and Weekends Off
