Administrative Assistant II - Full-time - Domestic Relations

Overall Responsibilities: To perform varied complex administrative and secretarial duties in a timely manner to ensure the efficient operation of the assigned department
*Duties include but are not limited to: * Assists Director and other department staff in a variety of administrative and secretarial projects and duties as assigned; composes and types letters, memos and other documents as needed on typewriter or computer; prepares required reports as directed; maintains departmental files, required records, statistics and related tracking systems; answers inquiries from public and others regarding departmental procedures, assisting them in person or on the telephone; sorts and scans all incoming correspondence, court orders, and assigns to department staff; maintains inventory and orders all office supplies; gathers, sorts and takes all office mail for postage daily; receives and screens phone calls for Director and other department staff; manages all office equipment and schedules repairs and maintenance; file clerk for Director and office staff as needed; delivers Correspondence, Court Orders, and Court documents to County Offices; fills in as backup for office staff when required.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/TRAINING: High school diploma or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping.
WORK EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of experience preferably in secretarial/administrative positions, or any acceptable combination of experience and training.
