Occupational Therapist

This is a Full time day shift position working in acute care at Oro Valley Hospital.

Primarily OT will work in acute care with cross training to work in our skilled nursing unit (SNU) depending on census needs.

As an Occupational Therapist at Northwest Medical Oro Valley, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Required:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy.Preferred for OVH:

One (1) year of acute care experience "Required:

Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license;American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certificationFor Skilled Nursing Unit:

Plans and conducts individualized occupational therapy programs to help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities.Teaches patients skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities.Studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress.Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager.Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment;Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.
