Grants Accountant

We are seeking a Grants Accountant who will report to the Controller. This person will be responsible for all fiscal compliance requirements on all grants received by the College.
This is a full-time, administrative position.
Example of Duties:
Work with the individuals in the Office of Institutional Advancement regarding financial report preparation and financial data for grant applications. Work with the Budget Director regarding budget development and tracking.Prepare interim and final reports required by the granting agency and/or the College.Prepare all billing or other required submissions for the "drawdown" of grant revenue from the granting agency.Review, control, and monitor the budget and meet with Grant Project Directors on financial status of grant programs.Assume responsibility for all grant accounting transactions which are to be recorded on the College's general ledger.Meet with external auditors on grant closeout information and/or fiscal audits of grants.Maintain close surveillance and pursue timely collection of all grant receivables.Perform other functions as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.Minimum of three (3) years of accounting work experience.Ability to read, interpret, and implement governmental regulations and guidelines.Experience with ERP systems preferred.Previous experience working with grants preferred.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
