Sustainability Director
to be the designer, driver, and broadcaster for URUS' Sustainability Strategy. In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping and implementing a robust Sustainability framework, setting ambitious targets and support the operating companies with achieving these targets. This involves strategically focusing on key areas to drive sustainability, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement including the development of scientifically robust approached to measure URUS' contributions to reduce our scope 3 emissions. Responsibilities
Recommend, develop and implement the Sustainability Strategy Engage functional and business unit leaders to deliver sustainability programs that reduce the environmental impact of URUS group's operations, products, and supply chains Help to develop a methodology that quantifies the effect of URUS' genetics and special development projects on scope 3 emissions globally Implement a Sustainability governance structure Reporting and disclosure, which involves overseeing the collection, management, and reporting of Sustainability data Stakeholder engagementto understand expectations regarding Sustainability initiatives and support building trust in URUS and its brands Support URUS People Development in the creation of employee training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of Sustainability principles and practices Professional qualifications and experience
Experienced Sustainability leader: 10+ years' experience, preferably in the agricultural sector and with a global scope Bachelor's degree in a relevant topic such as business management, environment/sustainability, marketing / PR / communications, or social science; Masters degree preferred International Experience: Previous work in a multi-country and multi-language environment Rating agency experience: Experience with external rating agencies (e.g. EcoVadis) is a plus Value creation expertise: Demonstrable understanding of the connections between sustainability and corporate value creation Influential communicator: Excellent ability to influence and communicate with internal and external stakeholders; credible at all levels of the business Sustainability reporting: Strong understanding of Sustainability reporting frameworks and standards (including CSRD) and proven experience producing Sustainability disclosures Data management: Experience collecting and managing Sustainability data and developing data management systems Network: Strong external network to draw on to support program delivery and reporting Climate change: Strong knowledge of climate change and corporate decarbonization, including an understanding of the SBTi Willing to travel (domestic and international) up to 20%
