Summary
Ballast Investments ("Ballast" or "The Company") is seeking a Senior Analyst to support our rapidly growing team. Under the general supervision of the Investments Team, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for activities relating to the financial analysis and operations of Ballast's investment portfolio. As the Sr. Analyst gains experience and knowledge, the level of contribution from a financial analysis perspective is expected to increase.
The Company is a vertically integrated owner-operator of multifamily, student housing, and single family rental assets in the greater Western United States. The Company has several strategic partnerships with global institutional capital providers and has experienced strong growth since its founding in 2014.

Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed financial models to support the underwriting and valuation of potential acquisitionsAssist in actively sourcing and identifying potential real estate acquisition opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship buildingEvaluate potential deals based on financial models, market analysis, and investment criteria to assess their viability and alignment with the company's investment strategyProvide market research and analysis to support investment decisionsProactive transaction pipeline management and reportingAssist in preparing analyses on transactions or other ad hoc requests from investors,Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions, covering legal, financial, and physical aspectsWork closely with legal, finance, asset and property management to ensure a seamless transaction and transition process from initial negotiations to closingStay abreast of real estate market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and potential risksAssist in the preparation of investment memoranda, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholdersCultivate and nurture relationships with brokers, sellers, and other industry professionals to enhance deal flow and stay informed about market dynamicsLead special projects as assigned and complete high-quality deliverablesMinimum Requirements and Qualifications
2+ years of experience in multifamily real estate is requiredKnowledge of real estate markets, valuation techniques, and investment strategiesStrong financial modeling and analytical skillsKey Skills and Competencies
