Responsibilities
Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California , is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region's only Total Joint Center.Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California , is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children's emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children's.POSITION SUMMARY:The Program Manager - Bariatric
leads assigned areas of the Bariatric Program for Southwest Healthcare System. The Program Manager has direct accountability for serving the Bariatric Program. This position works closely with physician partners, facility leaders, and the community in business planning, marketing, and development for the program including integration and optimization of patient care. Facilitates daily program operations; demonstrates thorough understanding of financial system for budget management, facility policies and procedures, clinical information systems, and business/marketing program management. Role models facility's mission, vision, and values; supports the learning of others; and, practices Leader standard work. Collaborates with Clinical Leaders on program specific clinical processes in order to ensure efficiency. The Program Manager acts as mentor and coach to enable problem solving and develops smooth functioning teams with a focus on affordability, quality, and satisfaction. Other duties as assigned.Coordinates Activities of the Bariatric Program:Develops, implements and coordinates activities through interdisciplinary collaboration and utilization of bariatric guidelines and practice standards.Education:
Develops and promotes evidence-based education and training for physicians,staff, pre-hospital personnel, patients and families related to bariatric care. Promotes bariatric health in the communityProfessional Practice:
Maintains current knowledge of standards of care as set forth by the Bariatric Comprehensive Center accrediting body (MBSAQIP).Leads interdisciplinary meetings and participates in other hospital based committees.Oversees policy development with periodic review and update of policies, forms, protocols and standards of care guidelines for cardiac patients.Participates in regular morbidity and mortality meetings to identify and then address issues or barriers to quality care and patient safety for the bariatric population.
