Duties include but are not limited to filling tool and equipment requisitions, checking tools in and out to jobs, cleaning and inspecting tools, and overseeing the day to day operations of the tool room.DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Fills tools and consumable requisitions* Checking tools in and out to jobs* Cleans and inspects tools* Tags tools that require repair* Responsible for returning tools to the appropriate location* Replaces barcodes when necessary* Properly labels new tools* Responsible for inventory control of consumables and tools holders* Enters data into tool tracking as necessary* Monitors min/max levels for all tools* Responsible for quality control on all outgoing tool deliveries* Communicates backorders with teams* Order tool and consumable material as needed* Complete tool order log entry on a daily basis* Participates in the 5S program within the tool room* Performs quarterly inventory to maintain accurate inventory reports* Respond to all tool room quality system requirements within 24 hours* Insures accurate inventory levels are met to fulfill orders* Able to setup cutting tools and check them on a presetter* Perform other duties as directed by the Tool Room SupervisorMinimum Qualifications/Requirements* High School Diploma or GED* Minimum of 3-5 years' experience required* Experience with stockroom, inventory or receiving* Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook* Willingness to work flexible hours* Experience with maintenance/operation of basic tools and equipmentDesired Qualification* Sound organizational and planning skills* Capable of multi-tasking with sufficient ease to meet multiple priorities and deadlines* Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral & written* Familiarity of manufacturing environment* Skill in entering and recording information with accuracy and focus on details* Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skillsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
