Cordia Resources is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting accounts payable, assisting with the month-end close process, and contributing to financial reporting. QuickBooks experience is required to manage our financial transactions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable:Process, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices in accordance with company policies.Manage the weekly payment cycle, including the preparation and execution of payments.Handle vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.Month-End Close:
Assist in the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.Review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.Financial Reporting:
Assist in generating financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.Participate in the preparation of audit documentation and support external auditors as needed.QuickBooks Management:
Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks.Generate and analyze reports from QuickBooks to assist with financial planning and decision-making.Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data entered QuickBooks.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable and financial reporting.Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
