Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Research Coordinator. We seek a senior research coordinator with strong experience in qualitative research. The Health Evaluation and Analytics Lab (HEAL) of the New York University Grossman School of Medicine works closely with New York State and other policymakers to improve quality of care for individuals with substance use disorders. The Senior Research Coordinators responsibilities include research project management, qualitative data collection and analysis, and related initiatives.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Research Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our research projects by conducting qualitative interviews, assessing program implementation, analyzing data, and preparing comprehensive reports for dissemination. This position requires a strong background in public health research and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement data collection strategies using surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other methods.Conduct interviews with leadership and staff of addictions treatment programs.Conduct site visits and observations as needed.Create coding schemes, code, and analyze qualitative data.Use computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software (i.e., Dedoose or Atlas.ti).Summarize research findings and assist in the preparation of reports and publications for internal and external distribution.Support the operation and administration of qualitative research activities including, but not limited to, drafting and submitting IRB applications, coordinating meetings, scheduling interviews, and creating tracking databases.Conduct other research-related activities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related discipline. Minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience coordinating clinical/research trials studies. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Ability to work and make decisions independently. Time management skills and ability to multitask. Strong understanding and knowledge base of coordination requirements associated with clinical/research trials. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems; ability to work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of public health, health services research, sociology, anthropology, social & behavioral health, etc.Prior experience conducting research on substance use disorder treatment.Experience with program evaluation and implementation science is highly desirable.3-4 years of experience conducting qualitative interviews and analysis with a masters degree; 5-7 years of experience with a bachelor's degree.Proven experience in public health research, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.Proficiency in qualitative software (e.g., Dedoose or Atlas.ti) and data management tools (e.g., REDCap).Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $74,152.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
